A Journey into Interior Design
Jenn’s path into interior design was fueled by a lifelong passion for transforming spaces into personal sanctuaries. With a background in interior styling, she has developed a keen eye for detail and a design philosophy centered on storytelling. Her approach integrates natural elements, architectural influences, and global inspirations to craft spaces that are both beautiful and deeply personal. By layering textures, colours, and carefully curated elements, she ensures every design evokes warmth and character.

Talm Beachhouse: A Coastal Retreat
One of Jenn’s standout projects, Talm Beachhouse, is a testament to coastal elegance. Inspired by the breathtaking ocean views of Anna Bay, near Port Stephens, and the tranquil sounds of the waves, the home embodies a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere.
For this project, Jenn selected the Phoenix Nostalgia collection, which perfectly balances classic design with modern functionality. The collection introduced a sense of old-world charm, while its high-quality craftsmanship ensured both durability and comfort. By incorporating the Nostalgia collection into this home, Jenn achieved a cohesive look that feels both inviting and refined.

The Shed: A New Design Vision
The Shed emerged from the need for a secondary living space while still managing Talm Beachhouse. Located in a native Australian landscape on Jenn’s partner Ryley’s childhood home, it became a unique design challenge—one that celebrates innovation and architectural thoughtfulness.
Key design considerations included a strong connection to the surrounding environment, with large windows and natural materials fostering a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. With three young boys, practicality was also a priority. Instead of costly finishes, Jenn opted to paint the existing concrete floor and forgo expensive skirting, ensuring a low-maintenance, effortlessly stylish home.
Embodying the design aesthetics of Australian Modern Farmhouse style, Jenn expands on her thoughts here. “To me, it’s about capturing the essence of a laid-back rural lifestyle while integrating classic, modern comforts and aesthetics. This blend allows for a harmonious, inviting environment that feels timeless yet current. In our project, we incorporated elements of this style by embracing natural materials and a neutral palette.”
Crafting a Warm and Inviting Palette
The Shed’s colour scheme embraces warm neutrals, with soft beiges and creamy whites forming a serene base. Travertine pavers provide an earthy foundation, while a walnut timber vanity and brushed gold tapware introduce richness and timeless charm. The combination of natural textures and warm tones creates an inviting atmosphere that exudes understated luxury.

The Phoenix Cromford Collection in Brushed Gold
For the tapware, Jenn chose the Phoenix Cromford collection in Brushed Gold, drawn to its timeless elegance and sophisticated finish. Striking the perfect balance between Australian modern farmhouse and current design style, the brushed gold fixtures serve as statement pieces, enhancing the overall aesthetic and bringing warmth and cohesion to the wet spaces, reinforcing the home’s Australian farmhouse charm. In the laundry, Chrome was chosen for the Cromford Exposed Sink Set with it’s utilitarian feel perfectly complementing the traditional concrete laundry trough.

The Importance of Early Fixture Selection
Jenn emphasises that selecting tapware and fixtures should happen early in the design process—during the mood board stage. This ensures a cohesive aesthetic across the entire home, allowing for thoughtful integration of elements that complement each other harmoniously.
